Does dog bad breath knock you over? Rover comes bounding forth to greet you with a sweet doggy kiss and his bad dog breath is so awful you are tempted to not return the kiss.  This does not have to happen to you.

Bad dog breath can be caused by different things.  Sometimes the food that Rover is eating can be the cause of stinky breath.  If that is the case you can change his food.  This should make a difference in bad dog breath.  There may be ingredients in the food that Rover is eating that is causing him to suffer from bad breath.

Another cause of bad breath in dogs has to do with his dental health.  If your dog is suffering from bad breath, he may need a trip to the vet.  Your vet will be able to tell you if Rover has a problem with his teeth or gums that is causing the bad breath.  Rover may need to have some dental work done.

You can help eliminate some of Rover’s bad breath by brushing his teeth frequently.  There are many toothbrushes on the market specifically made for dogs.  You can also buy toothpaste that has been formulated for dogs.

If you still need help for bad dog breath look for the toys and chews that are available.  Many of these claim to work wonders on doggy bad breath.  An employee of a pet supply store may also be able to give you some advice on the subject.
