All About Opalescence Toothpaste

Opalescence toothpaste is a high-tech fluoride toothpaste that works to whiten teeth without causing damage to tooth enamel. It can be used by anyone with a desire to whiten their teeth. It is also suggested for use with the Opalescence tooth whitening system to maintain whiteness and brightness by preventing staining. The tooth paste is also a part of the Opalescence Smile Kit, which includes Opalescence gel, a toothbrush, and dental floss.

Opalescence toothpaste will lighten teeth two shades in one month. This happens not through bleaching, but by the removal of stains caused by tobacco, carbonated cola, coffee, fruit juice, etc.

Opalescence toothpaste cleans stains from teeth. At the same time, it has the lowest abrasive levels among "scrubbing" toothpastes. This is important because toothpastes with scrubbing agents such as baking soda, and other micro-cleaners, can strip enamel from the surface of the teeth. This leaves teeth clean, yet damaged in the process.

Opalescence toothpaste has a high sodium fluoride content (0.15%), providing up to 4.8 times more fluoride than other toothpastes. Fluoride is a natural compound that works to protect teeth from  the formation of cavities, caused by bacterial plaque and tartar.

Opalescence tooth paste prevents and clears up gingivitis. Gingivitis is the inflammation of the gum tissues. It is a result of the presence of plaque, which is caused by oral bacteria that build’s up on the teeth.

Opalescence toothpaste can be purchased at a dentist’s office. It has a pleasant flavor, and is available in 1 oz. and 4.7 oz. tubes.
